ADVERSUM
opposite | against | in opposite direction; in opposition.
–Aug 29, 2010 | TKDS, Adversum | 0 Comments
–The summer is over and here at TRINE + KIM DESIGN STUDIO we have grand news for you.
ADVERSUM is a brand new music source launched in 2010 to serve you wild-hearted, progressive and dystopian music.
ADVERSUM is curated and art directed by Kim Sølve of TRINE + KIM DESIGN STUDIO in Oslo while the label machinery is operated by Kim of NEUROPA in Belgium.
The first two releases are YUREI's "Working Class Demon" and DELIRIUM BOUND's "Delirium, Dissonance and Death".
YUREI is the Norwegian musician Bjeima’s musical and psychic ground zero.
His debut, "Working Class Demon", is a tribute to all things dark, deranged and downright weird. BJEIMA takes a suicidal plunge into madness, anxiety and psychosis, coming up for air only to spit out brilliantly woven gems of alternative, discordant and melancholic rock.
DELIRIUM BOUND turns loose "Delirium, Dissonance and Death". The title of this album reads like a contents description. These Norwegians have turned loose 9 tracks bursting with inner turmoil and contempt. The substance keeping these jarring riffs together is as clever as it is dark, making every track stand out while relentlessly raging forward. With lyrics covering patricide, god-faced dogs, panic attacks and corpse eating, this is a merciless thrashing onslaught pulled from the forbidding regions of our psyche. Featuring Bjeima and Kim Sølve.
About the ADVERSUM personnel:
Kim Sølve (Norway) has been running TRINE + KIM DESIGN STUDIO with colleague Trine Paulsen since 1999. Together they have done artwork for artists like Ulver, Mayhem, Darkthrone, Ved Buens Ende, DHG/Dødheimsgard, Shining (no), Virus, Fleurety, Ihsahn, Arcturus, Manes, Solefald, Enslaved, Zweizz and many others as well as working with publishing houses, theaters, modern ballet, galleries and more.
Kim (Belgium) runs NEUROPA, a leading industrial and neo folk label releasing artists like Toroidh, Militia, Death In June and Orchestra Noir with Tony Wakeford.
ADVERSUM will present obscure, progressive and disharmonic music. Some which in different and corrupted ways spring from neo-Rock and post-Black Metal.

Summa Summer Summarum
–Jul 17, 2010 | TKDS | 0 Comments
–So, we're more than halfway into 2010. It's been 6 months of entertaining and demanding existence for us. From winters dread, seasonal depression and complete darkness almost 24 hours a day to flowering trees, young magpies learning to fly outside our studio and now the bright green view seen in our garden, and a nightsky that doesn't darken at all.
With summer upon us we decided to post a small retrospective on some of the projects we've done so far this year.
Our exhibition during the easters Inferno was one of the highlights this semester. Thank you to the 460 people who visited us.
Yours,
Trine + Kim

Shining
Blackjazz

–First of all; congratulations to Shining for being awarded the A-HA fund. Well deserved!
For a year now we've had a fruitful and close cooperation with Norway's Shining. What started out as a hopeful chat at a party soon became one of the most successful cooperations we have done with any musician. The reason: Munkeby is an original artist with a strong musical vision combined with a gentleman's ability and will to trust us to do what we do best; work unrestrained and sink ourselves deep into the material at hand.
This has resulted in one full length cover, 3 singles/EP's, merchandise and a poster.

ANIMAL RELEASE
What Kind Of An Animal Are You?
–May 27, 2010 | Psykosedyr, Unreality, K100, Swarms, Exhibition | 0 Comments
–It does not matter much as long as you know how to let it come out for some fresh air and peepee sometimes. A nice occasion to show your inner animal will be on this forthcoming saturday on the release party of the new CD by our dear friend Koyote. This is a single evening release party/exhibition/concert/performance/celebration with several crazies involved, including yours truly.
Trine will be exhibiting a rather big drawing from her parallel dimension Psykosedyr which some of you know well by now. Kim will exhibit a couple of reworked images from the ever expanding and always darkening Unreality (the project also including the music projects Swarms and K100). Some of it will be for sale.
It will be possible to buy lots of Psykosedyr stuff; the "Sex, Murder, Art" CD, Kaniinjas, 2 different shirts and a postcard set. Unreality will be selling Swarms' "The Silver Hour" CD and a postcard collection (5 cards). You should also make sure to pick up a copy (or two) of Koyote's “Trojan Gift Horse”.
Here's the official info:

"Release party, art exhibition, concert, performance and celebration!
Exhibition open from 16.00, performance & concerts from 21.30.
No age limit, suggested donation at the door.
A celebration of our animal nature and the joke at the heart of all things. Of connections and differences, spirals and circles, spaces for change and the spaces for rest. Of the contextual and the constant, the many points of balance, and the magic of the gift.
Dust off your tails, pick up your ears, fluff out your feathers and come out to play!
Release party for Koyote’s new CD “Trojan Gift Horse” and Bård Tjelta’s new collection of drawings “Let me die in the forest”.

Like all Toyboys performances "Intet er nytt under solen / There´s nothing new under the sun" is on some humorous, bizarre and often dark borderline between dance, theatre, concert and poetry - this time taking cues from Eurovision Song Contest and living up to their slogun "We're here we're queer get used to it". Café Grössenwahn
Opening night
–Apr 25, 2010 | K100, TKDS | 0 Comments
–Café Grössenwahn is Norway's first and only Neo-folk club concept. It is held at a small swiss restaurant in downtown Oslo that also functions as a gallery for figurative art. Initiated by writer Didrik Söderlind with friends in early 2010 with a circle of participants including members from the legendary Kjettersk Kjeller, Gotham Nights as well as Kim Sølve of TKDS and other old-timers from the Oslo underground.
TKDS has made the logo and visual profile. Taking inspirations from art nouveau and including numerous references to absinthe.
Duo Noir with Tony Wakeford of Sol Invictus was booked to play on the clubs opening night but the the flight cancellations following the ashes from the volcano on Island prevented us from going through with this. However, stepping in on short notice on the first night was swedish Solblot.
Kim Sølve aka K100 was commissioned to make music for the opening nights inauguration ritual. A symbolic ritual taking inspirations from occult practices to make a fitting fundament for the club, with a huge grin on everybody's faces.
Café Grössenwahn is a members only club. More here
